Mature Bride Over 40 Needs Wedding Dress

I am 40 something, and I have never been married. I do not have any children. I used to wear a size 34 (South Africa). I am now bordering on 36.

I have not shopped for myself for a while, and I am not sure what style would suit me. I am a bit conscious about my figure, even though friends say that I look very good for my age.

When I was younger, halterneck dresses use to suit me, as well as A - line skirts.

A mature bride in her 40's can wear pretty much any style wedding dress as long as you feel comfortable in it.

If you still like halter style necklines, you could still wear it especially if it still compliments you. Other styles you might consider would be the off-the-shoulder neckline and the popular one-shoulder neckline look, if you want something a little unique.

An a-line skirt compliments most figure types. So you if you like that style skirt on you, then that skirt silhouette will look great on you in a wedding dress. Depending on where a bridal gown begins to form the a-line flare, it can really hide problem areas like the abdomen, hips and thighs.

The key is to pick something you feel good wearing! Try on different styles of gowns to see what looks best on you.
