Need Wedding Dress Advice I'm 52

I'm getting married next June. This is my second marriage and want to look real nice, but I'm on the larger size, but on a diet at the moment. Just need some advice on style and what shape dress or 2 piece suit will look best on me. Can you help please?

When it comes to wedding dress advice... I can give you a few general guidelines since I am not sure of what body shape you have. Remember these are just suggestions based on general fashion rules. So if you have the opportunity to try on wedding gowns that would be the best way to judge what looks best on you.

Another way would be to look at dress styles you have in your closet. Pay attention to necklines and dress shapes that you feel are complimentary and then try to find styles similar for your bridal gown.

There are 3 basic shapes that compliment plus size figures. The a-line, the princess line and the empire-waist silhouette are the best style lines for your body type.

Neckline shapes that are complimentary would be v-neck, sweetheart, square or scooped. Avoid high necklines. If you want sleeves the long sleeve is the one that will make you look the slimmest. If you want a short sleeve, you must make sure it ends at the right place on your arm or they can cause your arms to look larger.

When picking a bridal suit or a 2 piece dress use these same guidelines.

Choose wedding dress fabrics that drape your body and have a soft hand. Avoid anything clingy or too stiff.
