Hello… I am Desiree Brown, a wedding dress alterations specialist and former wedding gown designer and dressmaker.

Also, I have experience as a personal buyer of wedding dresses for brides. Since my business was established in 1985, I have been doing business under the name Desiree's Custom Sewing, in Hampton, Virginia.

I always wanted to be a fashion designer, so starting a dressmaking/ design business was my way of fulfilling that dream. I decided to do this as a home based business so I could work from home to be there for my children. This arrangement has worked out well over the years.

Weddings can be stressful, to say the least. So my goal with every bride who comes through my door is not to add to her stress. I want them to have good memories of their wedding dress fittings and of working with me.
